An Eye-Opening Tour
Thursday June 14 was our "rest day." The day began for
Marti, Angie and Chris at 8:00am with morning devotional at the
Namwianga Clinic where Shepherd is the administrator. Chris, being
the visiting preacher, was asked to bring a devotional thought. The
chaplain led a song in English and a few in Tonga. We then toured
the clinic and were impressed by the steady progress Shepherd and his
team are making toward the goal of becoming a regional hospital.
After breakfast back at the Mbumwae's house, we loaded up for a tour
of the rest of Namwianga Mission. We saw the radio station, boarding
school, college, orphanage, basic school and dormitories. The
primitive conditions were humbling. If the internet access will
allow, we'll upload photos because words will fail.
